# Connect Cursor to LotsStore

Canonical page: https://lotsstore.app/agents/cursor
Steps checked: 2026-10-01

Manage your products, stock and orders in LotsStore from Cursor. Add LotsStore to Cursor as a remote MCP server and sign in once.

MCP server URL: https://api.lotsstore.app/mcp
REST API docs: https://api.lotsstore.app/docs
Setup instructions for your agent: https://lotsstore.app/skill.md

## What you can do once connected

- Add and update products, variants, prices, categories and collections. New products start as drafts.
- Check and set stock for each variant.
- See new orders, accept or reject them, and mark them processing, shipped or delivered.
- Create and manage discount codes.
- Read your sales: revenue, orders, average order value and where visitors drop off.
- Look up customers, and moderate and reply to product reviews.
- Publish your storefront once you approve its address.

The LotsStore dashboard does the whole job on its own too: products, stock, orders, customers, discounts, payments and your storefront. Your agent for speed, the dashboard for control.

## You need

- Cursor (any plan)
- A LotsStore account. You can create one during sign-in.

## Connect Cursor to LotsStore

1. **Open MCP settings.** Open the Customize page from the Cursor sidebar, or edit ~/.cursor/mcp.json directly.

2. **Add LotsStore.** Add this server to your mcp.json.

```
{ "mcpServers": { "lots-store": { "url": "https://api.lotsstore.app/mcp" } } }
```

3. **Sign in.** Cursor asks you to sign in the first time it connects. Finish the sign-in in your browser.

## What to ask next

- “Which orders are waiting for me to accept?”
- “We are out of the blue mug. Set its stock to 0 and tell me who ordered it this week.”
- “Add a summer tee in sizes S, M and L as a draft so I can check it before it goes live.”
- “How did my store do last week? Show revenue, orders and where visitors drop off.”
- “Add every product in products.csv in this repo to my store as a draft.”

## Questions and troubleshooting

### How do I connect Cursor to LotsStore?

Follow the Cursor setup above to add https://api.lotsstore.app/mcp. Complete sign-in using the authentication method shown. Then ask “List my stores in LotsStore”.

### Where do I put the LotsStore server in Cursor?

In ~/.cursor/mcp.json under mcpServers, or from the Customize page. Use the URL https://api.lotsstore.app/mcp; Cursor opens the sign-in in your browser on first use.

### Do I need an API key to use LotsStore with Cursor?

No. Cursor signs in to LotsStore in your browser. API keys are for the REST API, for scripts and your own apps.

### What does LotsStore cost?

Current plans and prices are on https://lotsstore.app/pricing. Your agent’s own plan or usage fees are separate.

### Can my agent take payments or move money?

No. Shoppers pay straight into your own Stripe or Razorpay account, by UPI to your UPI ID, or by ordering on WhatsApp, and LotsStore never holds the money. Your agent never asks for card details or payment keys: you connect Stripe or Razorpay yourself.

### Can my agent delete my products or my store?

Your agent can delete a product or a category when you ask it to, and that cannot be undone, so it should confirm with you first. It cannot delete a store. The owner can archive one, which takes the storefront offline and stops billing for it, and restore it within 30 days.

### Where do I see what my agent changed?

Everything your agent does shows up in your LotsStore dashboard. You approve the connection when you sign in, and you can disconnect it at any time from connected apps.

### The server shows an error

Check the URL ends in /mcp, then reload the server from the Customize page to restart the sign-in.
