Once connected, Paperclip can:
- Add and update products, variants, prices, categories and collections. New products start as drafts.
- Check and set stock for each variant.
- See new orders, accept or reject them, and mark them processing, shipped or delivered.
- Create and manage discount codes.
- Read your sales: revenue, orders, average order value and where visitors drop off.
- Look up customers, and moderate and reply to product reviews.
- Publish your storefront once you approve its address.
The LotsStore dashboard does the whole job on its own too: products, stock, orders, customers, discounts, payments and your storefront. Your agent for speed, the dashboard for control.
You need
- Paperclip with the managed MCP gateway and Tools & Access enabled
- Company administrator access to tools and agent profiles
- A LotsStore API key
- A LotsStore account. You can create one during sign-in.
Connect Paperclip to LotsStore
Create the LotsStore connection
In your company’s Tools & Access, create a LotsStore application and a remote HTTP connection. Use the hosted MCP URL below.
https://api.lotsstore.app/mcpStore the key as a secret
Create a key at https://api.lotsstore.app/dashboard and save it as a Paperclip company secret. Attach a credential reference to the connection: header Authorization, prefix Bearer followed by a space. Keep the key out of plain connection configuration.
Check the connection and load its tools
Run the connection health check and refresh its tool catalog. Enable the connection, review the discovered tools and approve the actions you want your agent to perform.
Assign access to your agent
Create a tool profile containing the LotsStore tools you need and bind it to the responsible agent. Ask that agent “List my stores in LotsStore” before giving it real work.
What to ask next
- “Which orders are waiting for me to accept?”
- “We are out of the blue mug. Set its stock to 0 and tell me who ordered it this week.”
- “Add a summer tee in sizes S, M and L as a draft so I can check it before it goes live.”
- “How did my store do last week? Show revenue, orders and where visitors drop off.”
If something goes wrong
- My agent cannot see LotsStore tools
- Check the connection is enabled, its tool catalog is refreshed, the required tools are allowed in a profile and that profile is bound to your agent.

Paperclip and LotsStore: questions
How do I connect Paperclip to LotsStore?
Follow the Paperclip setup above to add https://api.lotsstore.app/mcp. Configure your LotsStore API key using the credential settings shown. Then ask “List my stores in LotsStore”.
Does adding Paperclip’s MCP server also add LotsStore?
No. The two servers expose different tools. LotsStore must be connected to the agent runtime or called through its REST API.
Do I need an API key to use LotsStore with Paperclip?
Yes. Create one at https://api.lotsstore.app/dashboard and keep it out of chats, logs and committed files. Where Paperclip offers sign-in, use that instead.
What does LotsStore cost?
Current plans and prices are on https://lotsstore.app/pricing. Your agent’s own plan or usage fees are separate.
Can my agent take payments or move money?
No. Shoppers pay straight into your own Stripe or Razorpay account, by UPI to your UPI ID, or by ordering on WhatsApp, and LotsStore never holds the money. Your agent never asks for card details or payment keys: you connect Stripe or Razorpay yourself.
Can my agent delete my products or my store?
Your agent can delete a product or a category when you ask it to, and that cannot be undone, so it should confirm with you first. It cannot delete a store. The owner can archive one, which takes the storefront offline and stops billing for it, and restore it within 30 days.
Where do I see what my agent changed?
Everything your agent does shows up in your LotsStore dashboard. You approve the connection when you sign in, and you can disconnect it at any time from connected apps.
My agent cannot see LotsStore tools
Check the connection is enabled, its tool catalog is refreshed, the required tools are allowed in a profile and that profile is bound to your agent.
